Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but managed to protect only few of his sheep. Devastated, he returned to the village only to receive a lesson on honesty and the consequences of crying wolf.

His tale of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the value of honesty, the consequences of lying and the perils of crying wolf. Moreover, it highlights how trust once violated, is tough to reclaim. It's a story as relevant today as it was then.
